Easter Egg Cake Pops

Easter Egg Cake Pops

My 3-year-old and I made cake pops this afternoon.  I had seen Lilly’s and Lollipops’ post about her Easter egg-shaped cake pops and thought they looked like a bit of fun.

If you keep a few basic items in your pantry – packet cake mix with icing included, chocolate (or candy melts), popsicle sticks and sprinkles you can  whip up a batch of these and have an effective looking  dessert or treat for any occasion.  Kids love making these and they could prove to be a holiday lifesaver should the rain return.

Our Easter egg cake pops ended up looking quite cute.  Master O had fun rolling the cake crumbs into balls and I shaped them into egg shapes pretty easily.  I would not recommend a 3-year-old help with the chocolate dipping – it was WAY too messy.  He did enjoy sprinkling the hundreds and thousands on the cake pops.

If you would like to see how to make these refer to Lilly’s and Lollipops’ tutorial here.
